OVERVIEW
Space Medium Youth Initiative ( SMYI) is a community based organization registered under the KCCA subcounty NGO monitoring (Reg No. NAK/23/27) and opartional in the community of Banda Zone one (Acholi Quarters). We foster sustainable development within the young populations in Acholi Quarters via socio-economic intervention. We believe that young people offer a transferable set of skills for social development through through community based problem solving approaches. It's a simple philosophy, but one that is having a tremendous impact on the population particularly young people.

Youths have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mold future generations to come. At SPACE MEDIUM YOUTH INITIATIVE, we are here to discover and develop the potentials in them in order to shape them into leaders of the future. We have a number of educational programs and leadership initiatives that are community based like dialoging gender equality, capacity building, Waste Management activities, that put the youth at the fore front of being part of the solution to the world's problems and help nurture our youth in developing the skills set to carry throughout their lives.
WHAT WE DO
Since 2020, Space Medium Youth Initiative has been empowering youth through a number of enrichment programs. We have reached out to over 2000 youths through community invention like wastemanagment, gender dilaoguing, art and creatives. we have been able to work with intutions like Kectil Ugnda, International Women Peace Center, Actoether, Slum dwellers cooperation, Community Intergrated Develpment Initiative, Refugee Law Project and amny other whom have supported us to reach to the young people with over 20 different community engagement initiative with the community of Acholi Quarters. At Space Medium Youth Initiative, we believe that an essential part of making a difference is to keep residents in the know about all of their contemporary social challenges. We hope to journey togther through our programs like into the matter, and strive to be leading experts in our youth impact.
